My Intention To Run for Clark County Sheriff
EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER
If you believe that Experience Is The Best Teacher
then you’ve got to believe that no candidate could be more qualified
to become Sheriff of Clark County Nevada than Detective
Gordon J. Martines.
Detective Martines has more EXPERIENCE in police
work than any other candidate including the present Sheriff himself.
If elected, it is my pledge to you:
- No Gun Registration
- No Good Old Boy Favors
- Only Fair and Impartial Law Enforcement
|
Detective Martines says his definition of EXPERIENCE
is “Knowing a Lot of Things You Shouldn’t
Do”, and based on that, when Gordon ran for Sheriff
in 2002, his EXPERIENCE told him he was Jumping
the Gun (so to speak). So he decided to pull back and wait for
the 2010 election and that’s exactly what he did.
|
Gordon Martines has chalked up more than thirty years Las Vegas
Metropolitan Police Dept. EXPERIENCE as a police
officer. Having served in a myriad of assignments including,
but not limited to being a Patrolman, Motorcycle Officer, Accident
Investigator and for the past 15 years he has been serving as
a Detective currently assigned to Robbery Homicide.
Detective Martines has a reputation for not being a “Yes”
man. He is his own man who will run his own campaign with his
own money and not be beholding to anyone if he wins the election.
During the time Gordon Martines has been thinking about running
for Sheriff he has developed a goal that consists of what he
considers to be the most important element for the Sheriff of
Clark County Nevada to accomplish during his term in office.
That goal takes into consideration the fact that Las Vegas, Nevada
is one of most important tourist destinations in the world. It also
takes into account the social and economic problems facing our nation
today. The goal is simple:
To provide maximum protection for Tourists
as well as Local Residents.
Gordon says that by achieving this goal, he will cause the Local
and National Media to say:
“Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the safest
cities in the world”.
“That will be a priority”, says Detective
Martines, and, “It’s a Goal I know how to achieve
if I’m elected”.
Detective Martines believes that by achieving this goal, both
domestic and international tourism will grow in leaps and bounds,
and that Phenomenon will, in the most innocuous way, provide
more jobs in Las Vegas and Clark County, Nevada, thereby enriching
the community and enhancing the economy.
